A collaborative performance with Alison Moeller and Kate McCambridge Williams, Domaine de Boisbuchet, Lessac, France.
Working with artists and designers Alison Moeller and Kate McCambridge (Williams), we developed a text and performance based work in response to author Alan Lightman’s description of a world which consisted only of an endless array of images. We started with a proposal that a world existing only as images would be experienced only as instantaneous sensation or as eternally unchanging. Basing ourselves in the still, dark, reflective water of the chateau’s lake, we developed a series of actions captured in photographs.
Performance arising from an intensive workshop Designing Einstein’s Dreams with Anthony Duane and Fiona Raby at Domaine de Boisbuchet, Lessac, France, based on proposals in Lightman’s novel Einstein’s Dreams, each of which describes a universe in which time operates differently.
